Yantra Singing Bowl (G#2 102 Hz)
Yantra Singing Bowl (G#2 102 Hz)
This is a one of a kind bowl stocked by us with elaborate etching work. It is similar to our Compassion bowls in terms of make and tone. However, it features a prominent Yantra symbol on the inside and is decorated by the sacred Om Mani Padme Hung mantra on the outside.
A Yantra is a sacred Hindu symbol made up of two overlapping triangles. One points upwards with each corner representing male, yang, fire whilst the other points downwards and represents the female, yin and water energies. The overlap of these two triangles thus symbolises two opposite and balancing forces, similar to the yin and yang symbol.
'Om Mani Padme Hung' helps transform the mind and heart, whilst cultivating compassion.
The sound from this bowl is a low G# with a long sustain and harmonious overtones. It is best played on the floor and works with the lower chakras during a healing session. Due to the loudness of the bowl and its ability to cut through negative energies, it is also suitable for sound baths and meditation.
This bowl is sold as a gift set and comes with a free cushion, large ball mallet and hardwood rubbing mallet.
