Pure Sandalwood Mala Beads (108) knotted and specially re-strung for extra durability. Each bead is approx. 6-7 mm in diameter with a smooth finish.
Sandalwood is believed to help achieve mental clarity and has been used in religious ceremonies and meditation in Asia for hundreds of years. Approximate circumference of this mala is 49 cms.

No, the smell from this mala will fade over time (3-6 months) based on how you store and use them. You can refresh this smell by adding a few drops of sandalwood essential oil. Note that we don't add any perfumes or oils to the malas.
The highest quality of fragrant sandalwood comes from the heartwood of the tree as well as the roots. A mala made from sandalwood heartwood usually costs 8X the price of this mala which is made from other branches of the same tree.
