This beautiful mini (4 inch) statue of Tara is made of copper and has been gold plated using traditional casting techniques. When sourcing this particular statue, we decided to go with the best quality we could find where details in the statue were quite visible/fine. From our experience, a 4" size is necessary for the intricate details of the statue to become visible and for its overall finish to be fully appreciated.
About Boddhisatva Mother Tara
Tara is the most renowned and beloved of female enlightened beings. She is the mother of all Buddhas and guides all sentient beings across the ocean of samsara. Her right foot is slightly extended, demonstrating her swift action and willingness to assist all sentient beings. Her right hand is opened and sits on her knee, as a gesture of her generosity. Reciting her sacred mantra (Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha) protects us from fear and danger, and helps us achieve our spiritual purpose.
Care Instructions
Never touch the face of the statue as the oil from your fingers will place dirt marks and wipe off the gold painting. Use a dry, soft clothto cleanthe body/base of the statue.
