Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava (Lotus Born) was an Indian tantric master who is credited with bringing Buddha Dharma into Tibet. During the reign of King Trisong Detsen in the 8th century, he helped establish the country’s first Buddhist monastery in Samye and is considered the founder of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.The representation of Guru Rinpoche in Tibetan Buddhism is regarded as the highest protection from mental and material obstacles and from the increase of mental strength and vigor.
Reciting Guru Rinpoches's sacred mantra can help remove obstacles, fulfill one's wishes and help achieve spiritual liberation. OṂ ĀḤ HŪṂ VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HŪṂ is Guru Rinpoche's sacred mantra. This beautiful statue of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava is made of copper and has been gold plated using traditional casting techniques. His robes have been masterfully painted with great finesse and detail. Please note that the base of the statue has a removable plate so that it can be consecrated. During our recent sourcing trip, we were amazed by the quality and beauty of this beautiful statue and decided to get it upon first sight.
Care Instructions
Never touch the face of the statue as your fingers will place dirt marks and wipe off the gold painting. Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the body/base of the statue. Avoid using any liquids or water to clean the statue.
