This beautiful original painting has been created by skilled thangka painters from Nepal. At the centre of the mandala is the Tibetan character for Om. The compassion mantra, Om Mani Padme hung extends radially outwards and is surrounded by the four auspicious symbols and a star, arranged in a lotus pattern. All text is in the Tibetan script.
The sound of Om is associated with purification whilst reciting the sacred mantra Om Mani Padme Hung is used to cultivate compassion during meditation.
