These cotton prayer flags are dedicated to the Medicine Buddha and feature his sacred prayers/mantras. The Medicine Buddha is believed to help practitioners overcome delusion and defilement. Prayers made to him request all sentient beings to be free from sickness and suffering.
Prayer flags are usually hung up high in areas where the flags can flutter freely, and the wind can carry the prayers away.
