Pedestal Singing Bowl - Base Note C#4 281 Hz
Pedestal Singing Bowl - Base Note C#4 281 Hz
This is one of the most responsive and easy to play Naga bowls that we have ever collected. It has a beautiful and long lasting sustain. It sat as part of Dhondup's collection for nearly 6 years and we are now offering it for sale.
Originating in the Himalayan region, Naga or pedestal singing bowls are the most unique from all Tibetan Bowls. They are made up of two distinct parts: one is the usual round singing bowl whilst the other is the stand that the bowl has been fixed to. Therefore it is the only type of singing bowl that can be held and moved around the body or around the space. These bowls feature minimal inscriptions or artwork, and were probably used during shamanic rituals and ceremonies.
Handcrafted like all our singing bowls, Naga bowls are well suited for meditation, mantra chanting and healing. These bowls are also very easy to play/responsive and produce a serene sound with long decay.
TIP: Pedestal bowls are used in healing therapies since they sit very well on the back and shoulders.
