Set against a backdrop of the cosmos, this painting on canvas features the compassionate eyes of the Buddha. The Buddha Eye can be seen in all stupas, one on on each side, in Nepal. In the middle, is the Nepalese character for the number 1, which signifies the one way to enlightenment (i.e. through his teachings). The third eye, indicating the Buddha’s wisdom, appears right above.
This painting has been completed by skilled artisans from Nepal using traditional thanka painting techniques.
