Collection: Tibetan Singing Bowls in Australia
Tibet Shop Sydney stocks a variety of high quality and hand hammered Tibetan singing bowls. Our customers include musicians, sound therapists, dance studios, psychologists, yogis, teachers, meditation teachers and more. Click on an item to load the product page see and hear it being played.
We currently offer the following varieties of bowls:
- Tara: Old, hand made bowls. Extremely popular for their pure sound, relatively light in weight and very easy to play. If you had to buy just one singing bowl, this it!
- Remuna: Old, hand hammered bowls, similar to Tara in shape and size. However, these are lighter in weight.
- Contemporary: Our best value bowls and an ideal choice if you're a beginner looking to explore the possibilities of this ancient instrument.
- Special: Occasionally, we find special bowls that are different to the usual ones we or other merchants stock (e.g. a prized lingam bowl or bowls in odd shapes and sizes). Therefore, they're highly popular with enthusiasts and collectors.
- Accessories: Mallets, cushions and more.
Our Singing Bowls: Let's Discuss Quality
- Hand hammered from an alloy plate of bell metal (copper, tin) and not brass. They aren't cast or cast and then decorated with a few hammer strokes. Hundreds of hammer strokes are used to mould the alloy plate to its final bowl shape
- Chosen individually by us and never bulk ordered
- High quality instruments and not souvenir grade (even the free ringing stick we provide with every bowl is solid hardwood and not hollowed out)
- Rich soundscapes with beautiful, harmonious overtones, which is why we make videos of every individual bowl before making them available for sale.
- The best quality available that we could source (as a small business run by husband and wife, it doesn't make sense for us to source inferior grade products and import them all the way to Australia).
